Jan. 22: At about 2 p.m., officers were called to Cedarcrest High School to a report of a larceny. A teacher and her class were in the library when an unknown suspect took the teacher's purse from an unsecured area. A quick search proved unsuccessful. The teacher's driver's license was found in the parking lot that afternoon. The purse is burgundy in color and contained many personal items. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 788-1519.

Also that day, police responded to a family disturbance on NE Stewart St. A husband and wife were having an alcohol-related heated verbal fight about problems in the marriage.

Jan. 24: Just before noon, officers were dispatched to a physical domestic assault in the Taylor's Ridge neighborhood. Officers arrived and found the parties separated. The assault was between a father (the victim) and his son (the suspect). The fight began when the victim took away some of the suspect's household privileges. The suspect picked up a table leg and hit the victim in the chest. The victim called police. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the King County Juvenile Detention Facility on assault charges.
