The three-day educational sampler offers stimulating classes taught by Shoreline Community faculty, unique entertainment, and the chance to meet others, all in a relaxed setting. The $40 fee covers the full three-day program except food costs. Coffee and cookies are available in the classroom, and other food is available in the college cafeteria.
The day begins with coffee and conversation at 1:15 p.m., with classes following at 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 in the 1600 Building, Room 1602. In the first period, participants will study the works of classic poets. In second period, students will hear from Diana Knauf about advances in health and longevity. Third period features an overview of the dramatic changes our nation's natural environment has experienced over the last century, with a look at the contributions of people such as John Muir, Theordore Roosevelt, and Rachel Carson.
