WHS Theatre Company to 'Picnic' and dessert benefit

   The Woodinville High School Theatre Company, under the direction of Hjalmer Anderson, will present a benefit performance of Picnic by William Inge on Feb. 27 at the WHS Theatre.

   Playgoers at the benefit can enjoy coffee and gourmet desserts at 6 p.m., followed by the performance at 7:30. Benefit tickets for dessert and the show are by pre-sale only, and may be obtained by calling 481-3411. A silent auction of vintage hats and dolls will also be held. Proceeds from this event go to support the participation of WHS in the Edinburgh Scotland Fringe Festival in August, 1999.

   Other performances of Picnic, which received the 1953 Pulitzer Prize for drama, will be held on Feb. 26, and March 5 and 6 at 7:30 in the WHS Theatre. Tickets to just see the performance will be available at the door.

   Ticket prices are: students with ASB card, $5; general admission, $6; Dessert Theatre, $15.
