Celebrate Woodinville to be held Saturday, March 27

   Mark your calendars to attend "Celebrate Woodinville" on Saturday, March 27.

   It's time for the 22nd annual All Fools' Day Parade, 16th annual Basset Bash, and a whole lot more, including the City of Woodinville's sixth birthday party, Children's Fair, the opening of the Woodinville Farmers Market, a Kiwanis pancake breakfast, and new this year, an evening Community Swing Dance.

   The day begins at 8 a.m. with the Kiwanis cooking pancakes at Woodinville Round Table Pizza in the lower area of the Woodinville Towne Center. The breakfast ends at 10:45 a.m. The first $1,000 raised will go to a Woodinville High School scholarship.

   Also from noon to 4 p.m. in the upper courtyard near QFC, Woodinville High School drama students will present "Oklahoma! Soars to Scotland." Featured will be a variety of family activities as the students share bits and pieces of the musical Oklahoma!

   The Farmers Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the City of Woodinville parking lot. If you have a handmade or hand-grown-in-Washington item you want to sell, sign up by calling Grant Davidson at 485-1042.

   The Woodinville All Fools' Day Parade is at 11 a.m. Build a float or create an entry and sign up your family or business by picking up a parade application at the Woodinville Chamber of Commerce, Woodinville Weekly, King County Credit Union, or Woodinville Albertson's.    The Children's Activity Resource Fair will be held from noon to 4 p.m. in the Woodinville Towne Center. Call Catherine Howard of Kiwanis Club of Woodinville at 425-483-0606 to have a non-profit booth at the event.

   The Basset Bash features basset hounds in competitions from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Sorenson playfield. Enter your basset by calling the Woodinville Weekly at 425-483-0606.
