Northshore has seven National Merit Finalists

   The National Merit Scholarship Foundation has named seven Northshore seniors as National Merit Finalists. Finalists represent fewer than one half of one percent of each state's graduating class.

   The finalist from Bothell High School is Anand Venkatesan, son of Prasanna and Gita Venkatesan of Bothell.

   Finalists from Inglemoor High School include: Daniel Dale, son of Sharon and Robin Dale of Bothell; Walter Downing, son of Earl Downing and Ellen Timothy of Woodinville; and Tyler Larson, son of Neil and Kirby Larson of Bothell.

   The finalists from Woodinville High School are Robert Bradshaw, son of Jeffrey and Kathleen Bradshaw of Redmond; Megan Carlisle, daughter of Rodney and Maureen Carlisle of Woodinville; and Lindsay Metcalfe, daughter of Lee and Pamela Metcalfe of Woodinville.

   Nationwide, the foundation has designated 14,000 finalists who will now compete for 7,000 National Merit Scholarships to be awarded in the spring.
