Duvall Police Log

Feb. 13: At about 11:50 a.m., officers were called to investigate a theft in the Cameron Park neighborhood. Sometime during the night, unknown suspects broke into the victim's truck and stole approximately $3,000 worth of carpentry tools. The victim told officers that he heard a loud sound about 2:00 a.m., but he did not get up to investigate. There is no suspect information at this time. If anyone has information regarding this theft, please contact the police at 788-1519.

Feb. 14: At about 2:44 a.m., officers saw a car parked on Big Rock Road in about the 28200 block. The officer saw two young males get out of the car. Due to the time of night, the officer decided to investigate further. Upon contact, the officer observed one of the juvenile males to be under the influence of intoxicants. The officer asked the juvenile male whether he had been drinking. He replied that he had only had three to four beers throughout the night. The officer placed the juvenile into custody and transported him and his friend to the police station. After processing, both juveniles were released to their respective parents. Charges have been filed with the juvenile court prosecutor for the alcohol violation.

Feb. 15: At about 8:00 p.m., officers were called to investigate a hit-and-run accident in the parking lot of a local business on Brown Ave. The victim ran inside to pick up a phone order. When he returned to his vehicle, he noticed the contents inside the car had shifted. He drove home and then noticed that his trunk was ajar. Further investigation showed that the car had been hit from behind and sustained about $1,500 worth of damage. From the damage, it appears the suspect vehicle is a truck or sport utility vehicle. Physical evidence was gathered from the accident scene. Anyone with information about this hit-and-run accident should call the police at 788-1519.
Also that day, at about 2:25 p.m., officers were informed of a vandalism that had occurred earlier in the morning in the Crestview neighborhood. The victim told the officer that sometime during the evening, someone picked up several "one-man rocks" from his yard and the stop signs from corners near his house and placed them on his trampoline. There did not appear to be any other damage in the area. Anyone with information about this crime should call the police at 788-1519.

Feb. 21: Officers investigating a liquor violation reported by a local business on Main St. were talking to subjects in question when a passerby told the officers that there was an unknown injury accident that just happened on the West Snoqualmie Valley Road just north of NE 124th. Fearing the worst, officers headed that way. When they arrived, they found there were no injuries, but while investigating the accident, one of the officers was almost hit by a truck that apparently did not realize the roadway was blocked. The truck slid to a stop and then continued east on NE 124th. The officer at the accident gave a description of the vehicle to other units in the area. Another Duvall unit found the truck driving north on SR-203. The officer pulled the truck over at the Big Rock Road and found the driver to be intoxicated. He was placed into custody and, due to jurisdiction, held for a King County deputy.

Feb. 24: When officers pulled a vehicle over for a traffic infraction, they discovered that the driver's privilege to drive was suspended. He was placed under arrest for driving while his license was suspended. Officers found a loaded handgun, over $1,000, and various pieces of drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. They also found checks in the vehicle that did not belong to the driver. When officers called the owner of the checks, they found that the checks had been reported stolen. It was found that the suspect is a convicted felon and was booked into the King County jail for being a felon in possession of a firearm and stolen property.
