Concert features award winning Northshore students

The top scorers at the KingCo Solo and Ensemble Contest will appear in a benefit concert, "An Evening of Chamber Music," on March 26 at 7:30 p.m., showcasing the student musicians who will be competing at the Washington State Solo and Ensemble Contest in Ellensburg on April 23.

Also featured in the evening's performance will be Kim Bishop, classical pianist from Bothell High. As a ninth grader at Skyview Junior High, Kim helped produce a CD highlighting local student talent, which will be available for sale at the concert.

"An Evening of Chamber Music" will be held at Inglewood Presbyterian Church, 7718 NE 141st Street, three blocks west of Juanita Drive on 141st. Tickets are $15 at the door, $5 for students and seniors. All proceeds go to the Northshore Performing Arts Center Foundation, whose goal is to build a performing arts center in the Northshore community. Call 488-6522 for more information.
