March 4: At about 7:25 a.m., officers responded to a two-car injury accident at NE Stephens and First Ave. The driver of vehicle #1 was southbound on First Ave. She did not see the other vehicle on NE Stephens St. The driver of vehicle #1 sustained a head injury and was transported to the hospital.
Also that day, at about 12:00 noon, officers investigated a hit-and-run accident in the 26500 block of NE Cherry St. Sometime during the preceding day, an unknown vehicle backed into the victim's vehicle. An area check of the scene was made, but to no avail. Anyone with information about this accident should contact the police.
March 6: At about 2:20 a.m., officers were on routine patrol in the Taylor Ridge neighborhood. Officers noticed a vehicle with its exhaust system dragging on the ground. The vehicle was also full of wood. Officers stopped the car and contacted the driver and the passenger, both twenty-year-old local males. After some investigation, the driver confessed that he was in the middle of a project and had run out of lumber. He admitted to taking the lumber from one of the building sites in the Taylor's Ridge neighborhood. When confronted, the passenger admitted his part in the theft. Both were placed into custody and processed at the police department. Charges of theft have been filed with the prosecutor's office.
March 7: At about 8:40 p.m., officers recovered a stolen vehicle in the 14400 block of 284th Ave NE. The vehicle was stolen out of Snohomish County earlier in the day. The vehicle was unoccupied when officers found it. The owner of the vehicle was called and the vehicle turned over to him.
