Darrel Coney set up camp stoves to provide members and guests at the Woodinville Garden Club luncheon with a hot lunch.
During the March 3 windstorm that cut power to areas in Northshore, the Woodinville Garden Club had planned to serve lunch to its 100 members and guests at the Farm clubhouse. A generator was found to run the small appliances and slide projector for the presentation, but it looked like cold soup until Darrel Coney stepped in and set up camp stoves in the parking lot. Thanks to him, all the diners enjoyed a hot lunch on a cold, blustery day.
