Riverview Education Foundation benefit

   The Riverview Education Foundation, a non-profit organization providing school enrichment, invites community members to participate in the first Golf Tournament/Family Picnic fund-raiser to be held May 22 at Blue Boy West Golf Club in Monroe.

   Registration fee is $45, and this includes green fees, awards, prizes, family picnic, swimming, hot tub, and horseshoe pits. The fee for non-golfers is $10. Children 12 and under are $5. Registration on the day of the event begins at 7:30 a.m. Shotgun starts at 8 a.m. The family picnic runs from noon to 4 p.m. Advance registration should be made by May 3.    Riverview Education Foundation (REF) raises private funds and provides grant opportunities to teacher, student, and parent partnerships in the Riverview School District. The mission of REF is to enhance and expand the curriculum of the school district. REF is a separate entity, not related to the Riverview School District. The REF is a registered non-profit organization with tax exempt 501-(c)(3) status.

Woodinville Community Band to play at Spring Fair

   The Woodinville Community Band will perform for the Washington Association of Community Bands Day on April 17 at the Spring Fair at the Puyallup Fairgrounds. The Fair is part of the annual Daffodil Festival.

   The 50-member band will perform at 3 p.m. on the Showplace Stage. They will also participate in a massed band concert featuring all 14 of the bands at the Fair at 1:15 p.m. The local band, conducted by Ray Guyll, will play "The Light Cavalry," "My Kentucky Home," "Liberty Bell March," "Circus Days," and "Stars and Stripes."

Changes for Swingin' into Spring

   Columbia Winery has announced changes for its Swingin' into Spring event to be held Saturday, April 17, from 2 to 6 p.m. The $5 admission includes a logo-wine glass, wine tasting, and entrance to the swing music concert.
