White Cane Days

   Lions Clubs throughout Washington will be conducting their 30th annual White Cane Days event on Friday and Saturday, April 30 and May 1. This annual fund-raiser helps to conquer and treat sight impairments.

Readiness to Learn meeting announced

   The Northshore Human Services Consortium will hold a meeting May 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m at the Northshore Public Health Center, 10808 NE 145th St. in Bothell. Attendees are asked to bring a sack lunch; cookies and beverages will be provided. The agenda includes: what's happening in schools and communities; updates and opportunities of partnership projects; looking ahead to summer and beyond. Adopt a Greyhound

   Greyhound Pets, Inc. will be participating in Woodinville PetsMart's Adoptathon, taking place all day Saturday and Sunday, May 1st and 2nd. "Stop by to meet our retired racers and learn what wonderful pets they are, and how you can adopt one of your own!" said Carolyn Jochim, volunteer coordinator.
