Alice was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on August 17, 1904 to Samuel and Olga Gustafson. She married Arthur E. Kimball on June 26, 1926. Their son, Arthur G., was born in 1927. The family moved to Bothell in 1940 where she and Arthur owned and operated Kimball's Department Store.
Alice was a member of First Lutheran Church, Bothell. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Elvie, and two brothers, Carl Maurice Gustafson and Donald Arvid Gustafson. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Arthur G. Kimball of Yokohama, Japan; her five grandchildren, Arthur Samuel Kimball, Atlantic Beach, Florida, Anton Kimball, Jess Kimball, Angela Steckly, all of Portland, Oregon, and Lenna Kimball, Palo Alto, California. She is also survived by Alex and Jake Steckly and Riley and Parker Kimball, great-grandsons.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 1, at Bothell Funeral Home with a reception at First Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall following the service. Burial at Floral Hill, Lynnwood, is to be private. Memorial contributions may be to Evergreen community Hospice or Lions Eye Bank.
Mrs. Kenny is survived by her husband John J. Kenny of Bothell; son, John Kenny of San Jose, California; brother, Merle Fiori and his wife Sally of Moraga, California.
Her memberships included St. Brendan Catholic Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 2995, and the VFW Post 2995 Homeless Feeding Program. She also was a volunteer at Northshore Senior Center in Bothell.
