WOODINVILLE--After a dreary winter, the Northshore Sports Complex is gearing up for the start of baseball season.
Located just west of Hollywood Hill corner on NE 145th, the complex has seven baseball fields shared by four leagues: Northshore, North Bothell, Woodinville, and Woodinville West. The fields have been prepped and the ballplayers are ready to start.
This year, the fields sport a new equipment storage container donated by Robb Scharbau of Robb's Repair. Some young artists were asked what they would like to see on the container, and a plan was put in place to find local painters to paint a mural with a local theme.
Sharon Quigley and Sherry Sisk of Woodinville donated over 15 hours in painting a scene of kids playing baseball, as sightseeing balloons float overhead.
