Learn how to prepare for disasters, Y2K at fair

   Evergreen Hospital Medical Center in Kirkland will present a community Emergency Preparedness and Safety Fair on May 13 and 14. Attendees will learn how to prepare for earthquakes, possible Y2K problems, and other disasters.

   The fair runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. each day in the hospital Galleria and will feature interactive exhibits and demonstrations. Vendors will have a wide variety of safety products that can be purchased for use in the home or office.

   The Kirkland Fire Department's Earthquake Trailer will be on hand, along with the American Red Cross, the Emergency Preparedness Society, Emergency Preparedness Services, and Puget Sound Energy.
