Woodinville Lions Club hosts Mother's Day breakfast

   The Woodinville Lions Club will host their annual Mother's Day Breakfast on Sunday, May 9th, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Woodinville Lion's Mt. View Community Center, 19008 168th Ave. NE, south of Leota Junior High School and north of Mack's Corner. The menu will consist of scambled eggs, hot cakes, sausage or ham, coffee, and juice. Mothers are free; adults are $3 and those 12 years and younger are $2. For additional information, call 483-6177 or 483-2693.

Local operatic hopefuls compete

   Sopranos Rachel DeShon and Gina Moore, both of the Bothell area, will compete in the Seattle Civic Opera Association's auditions on May 8 at 11 a.m. in Stockholm Hall at the Swedish Club (1920 Dexter Avenue North, Seattle). Cake, punch, and coffee will follow. Admission to the event is free.

Kenmore Heritage Society meeting

   Everyone is welcome at the next meeting of the Kenmore Heritage Society on May 5 at 7 p.m. at the Kenmore Fire Station, 73rd Ave. NE and NE 181st.
