City needs CIP input

by Marshall Haley, staff reporter

WOODINVILLE--The city will hold a Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) open house for Woodinville residents on Monday, May 3, from 3-7 p.m. at Woodinville's City Hall. A public hearing will follow on Wednesday, May 5 at 7 p.m., also at City Hall. The city needs public comments on more than 40 proposed capital projects.

Based on the city's Comprehensive Plan, the CIP develops criteria to identify, evaluate, and prioritize projects for parks, surface water management, transportation, and facilities. The CIP also shows estimated costs, sources of revenue, and funding for each project over a six-year period.

The city reviews and updates the CIP annually to add new projects and adjust priorities based on current needs.
