Cheerleaders have trained K-5 graders to perform and lead the way in the Kids' Parade this Saturday.

More than 50 kindergartners through fifth graders will perform as an 8-count rah-routine Cheer Squad as they march through the Kids' Parade on Saturday.

Trained a week ago in a clinic, the group learned to dance and cheer from the 1999-2000 Cedarcrest High School Cheerleaders & Yell Kings including: Crystal Lee, Aimee Hern, Lindsey Regalia, Adrianne Blair, Brianna Card, Julie Henry, Mike Rapson, Charlie Shisler, Emily Sipprell, Greta Smoke, Lindsay Strong, Miguel Valdez, and Gina Wilson. Margie Coy is the coach.

Proceeds from the clinic will help send 1999-2000 Cheerleaders & Yell Kings to summer camp.

"We run clinics not only to raise money, but to build a team of cheerleaders and yell kings for varsity sport cheerleading at Cedarcrest," said Coy.
