Community Network Board to meet May 18

The Snoqualmie Valley Community Network will meet Tuesday, May 18, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Chief Kanim Middle School in Fall City. The meeting is open to the public.

The King County Human Services Division will present the results of its recently-completed community needs assessment for rural areas in the county, including the Snoqualmie Valley. The needs assessment was accomplished through telephone interviews, interviews with key informants, community meetings, and reviews of planned documents and studies generated locally.

The results of the needs assessment will help guide county spending on human service-related initiatives in the Snoqualmie Valley through 2003. For more information, call Ellen Kropp, coordinator, at 333-6614.

Still time to nominate outstanding community volunteers

There is still time for individuals and organizations to nominate those from the community who deserve special recognition for their volunteer efforts. The Snoqualmie Valley Community Network will accept nominations for outstanding Valley volunteers until May 19 to be honored at the Network's third annual Rise and Shine Breakfast June 8.

Forms are available through most Snoqualmie Valley PTSA's and at local schools, churches, and community agencies, or by calling the Network office at 333-6614.
