The Woodinville High School Theatre Company, under the direction of Hjalmer Anderson, will present the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic musical Oklahoma, May 21, 22, 27, 28, and 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the WHS theatre, 19819 136th Ave. NE in Woodinville.
The Company is also preparing to perform the show in Scotland, where they will showcase the musical in four performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August. WHS is one of only 18 American high schools, and the only Northwest school, to represent the U.S. at the prestigious arts festival which features more than 15,000 performances from around the world.
The students have been working all year to raise the funds for the two-week trip. The May 22 performance will be preceded by a dessert buffet at 6 p.m. Cost is $15 with all proceeds from the evening going to support the Scotland production. For tickets, call (425) 481-3411.
