WHS Theatre Company receives high honors

   Woodinville High School Theatre Company, under the direction of Hjalmer Anderson, recently received high honors at the Washington State Thespian Festival. The statewide event was held April 30-May 2 in Camas.

   WHS students received "Outstanding" ratings in several event categories. In the Monologue competition, highest awards went to Mick Lauer, Emily Bonifaci, Willie LeVasseur, and Genah Lasby. In the Duo competition, the following pairs received high honors: Kate Seip and Beth White; Kari Solberg and Katie Hansen; Nate Eddings and Mick Lauer; and Patye Williams and Genah Lasby.

   The students also received the highest rating for their one-act play production, Identity Crisis. The play featured Brooke Martin, Nate Eddings, Katie LaZelle, Jacquee Decoto, and Chas Hoppe.

   Other WHS participants included Ian Tinker, Darrin Mahlum, and Aubrey Teeley.
