Critter Crowning Photo Contest

Think your pig ought to be in pictures? Or maybe you feel your dog is true royalty? Then the King County Fair's Critter Crowning Photo Contest is right up your alley.

The winner of the Critter Crowning Photo Contest will be named official mascot of the 1999 King County Fair--the King County Royal Critter.

Everyone is invited to submit a photo of themselves and their favorite pet or farm animal for the chance to win great prizes. In addition to the prizes, the winning critter (and the critter's owner) will be honored at the 136th anniversary edition of the King County Fair, July 20 through 25 at the King County Fairgrounds in Enumclaw.

Members of 4-H and Future Farmers of America are especially encouraged to enter the contest. Entries must be received by July 7. Thirteen finalists will be chosen by a panel of King County Fair Board members.

All photos entered will be posted at the Critter Gallery and will be on display during the King County Fair. Photos of the 13 finalists will also be posted on the King County Park System website at www.metrokc.gov/parks.

Applications for the Critter Crowning Photo Contest are unavailable at King County Park System facilities everywhere. For more information or to receive an application by mail, call the King County Fairgrounds at 206-296-8888 or 360-825-7777. E-mails may be sent to feliks.@metrokc.gov.
