Club celebrates Earth Day

Earth Club

To raise the awareness of their fellow students on environmental issues, Woodinville High School's Earth Club planted trees and flowers. Members of the club include (left to right): Valerie Tang, Lily Back, Shelly Martin, Julie Stravel, John Brethaver, Randall Huybers, and Meghan Vita. Not pictured are Jessica Lawson and Sheha Desai.

The Earth Club of Woodinville High School planted trees and flowers around the campus, adding beauty to the school and raising students' awareness of Earth Day.

The group planted three Aristocatic pear trees and a Pat Austin rose, all donated by Cottage Lake Nursery on Avondale, and a flat of pansies from McLendon's. Also, Mrs. Perkins, a biology teacher at WHS, gave flowers left from a previous horticulture class, including Canterbury bells and lavender.
