Memorial Day observances

   Memorial Day commemorations will be held at Novelty Cemetery at 10 a.m. and at Carnation Cemetery at 11 a.m.

'Seven Arts Night' at Cedarcrest

   The first annual Cedarcrest "Seven Arts Night" will be held in the high school commons on June 1, 7-8:30 p.m. It is an evening dedicated to showcasing the many talents of Cedarcrest students. In addition to an art show, which will include student work from the entire year, displays of excellent student projects in many other disciplines will be placed around the commons. There will be speeches by students in the forensics club, displays of senior project material, a jazz band performance, and graphic arts and technology classes presentations. Food will be available. Parents and students are invited to attend.

Snoqualmie Valley Women's Connection

   The Snoqualmie Valley Women's Connection will meet on June 5, 8:30-11 a.m. at Cherry Gardens Community Club. There will be a potluck breakfast. This month, the topic will be "A Time to Visit." This is a great way to meet women in the area.

Valley Recreation Association meets

   Valley Recreation Board of Directors will meet on Monday, June 7, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the Carnation Public Library. Enter the meeting room on the north side of the building. Agenda items include commissioning a needs assessment and feasibility study for a swimming pool and recreation center. For more information, contact Board president Jeff Spencer at 333-4254.

Cedarcrest students present 'Nine Lives'

   The production of Nine Lives will be presented on June 2, 3, and 4, 7:30 p.m. in the Cedarcrest Theater. This will be an evening of poem, dance, and song with almost 150 students involved. Each evening's production will feature a different cast.
