MS Bike Tour, Saturday, June 5

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Washington Chapter, is getting into gear for the eighth annual MS Mountain Bike Madness Ride on Saturday, June 5.

Participants have the option of a 50k or a 70k route, both of which begin and end at Chief Kanim Middle School in Fall City (32627 Redmond-Fall City Rd.). The 50k route, designed for almost all ages and abilities, takes place on wide, gravel roads. The 70k route is recommended solely for experienced off-road cyclists. Mountain bikes or cross bikes are a necessity to navigate the terrain, and helmets are required.

The MS Mountain Bike Madness Ride is fully supported with professional bike mechanics, medical personnel, support vehicles, and cheerful volunteers. High-energy snacks and drinks, as well as encouragement, are provided along each route. After cycling, participants will be treated to lunch, a massage, and the opportunity to win great door prizes.

In addition to the $25 advance registration fee ($35 day-of event), a minimum of $75 is required to participate. Proceeds fund research into the cause, cure, and treatment of MS and support local services.

For registering or volunteering, call the MS Mountain Bike Mountain Bike Madness Hotline in Seattle at 206-284-4236 or toll-free at 800-800-7047 for more information.
