Woodinville is the greatest!

Man, oh man, let me catch my breath. Woodinville is the greatest!

Since I came on board as Woodinville's volunteer coordinator three months ago, over 150 people have put in an average of six hours per person for a total of close to one thousand hours of volunteer efforts in the further beautification of this wonderful city.

From weeding to planting, to helping in crosswalks at Wilmot Gateway Park's Grand Opening, to judging at the Teen Battle of the Bands, Woodinville's residents from three years to 73 years old were involved.

And there's more to do. I need 60 volunteers (all ages) to help with the Fourth of July celebration. The Parks & Recreation Department has many other volunteer opportunities this summer: more beautification projects, special events, day camp buddies, and Adopt-A-Road.

Call me, Woodinville! I'm at 489-2700, ext. 298.
