Washington's academically talented students honored

   Eighteen Northshore students have been honored for their exceptional academic talents. The Johns Hopkins University's Institute for the Academic Advancement of Youth has recognized these young people in grades five through eight for extraordinary achievement.

   Top scorers in Washington State included: Eighth Grade, Math SAT I--Vincent Pai, Northshore Junior High (1st place tie).

   Other elementary students who were state award recipients included: Donald Birch III, Woodin Elementary; Jared Brown, Woodin Elementary; Ian Bush, Woodin Elementary; Amy Cattle, Woodin Elementary; Daniel Eichelsdoerfer, Woodin Elementary; Brad Goring, Shelton View Elementary; Sean Gottschalk, Woodin Elementary; Shannon Kane, Mill Creek Elementary; Taylor Laflam, Shelton View Elementary; Sydney Lewis, Forest Ridge School; Andrew McCornack, Henry David Thoreau Elementary; Gena Mendoza, Hollywood Hill School; Steven Reeber, Mill Creek Elementary; Rohan Singh, Woodmoor Elementary; Daniel Sito, Woodmoor Elementary; Channing Verbeck, Woodmoor Elementary; Drew Wilson, Woodmoor Elementary; and James You, Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary.
