Water district plans composting class

Turn your food and yard waste into a valuable commodity at a class to be held Saturday, June 19 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Woodinville Water District building, 17238 Wdvl.-Duvall Rd.

   Learn ways to compost food leftovers and kitchen scraps, as well as yard waste. Find out why compost bins work in summer and winter. Paul Martin, a Master Recycler Composter (MRC), will describe what composting is, the benefits, how to make it, and how to use it. Learn to build your compost bin cheaply and easily. Questions will also be answered regarding Vermi (worms) composting.

   The class is free, but pre-registration is required. The class will be cancelled if not enough people sign up. Call 425-483-9104, ext. 302 to register or for information.
