Schools receive grants for arts programs
Art supplies will be a top item on those back-to-school lists next fall, as students return to classrooms filled with drawing, painting, dance, and music, thanks to the latest round of Cultural Education grants from King County.
Chrysalis School 1999 graduates
The 1999 graduating class from Chrysalis School in Woodinville received their diplomas on June 19 at the Northshore Senior Center.
Shandorfs are "special folks" for children
Jerry and Mary Shandorf are well-known and appreciated in the Northshore School District. For several years, they have volunteered their time, van, and gas to the Sorenson Early Childhood Education program and other Northshore schools.
First Bear Creek Fun Run a success
Bear Creek Elementary students held their their first fun run, sponsored by the Bear Creek PTA. Over $7,000 was raised by the students, who asked sponsors for donations in return for their participation.
Students visit forest to learn
Fourth and fifth graders from Lockwood Elementary School in Bothell attended Forest Field Day 1999 at the Tiger Summit Recreation Area at Tiger Mountain on May 27.
Cedar Park Faculty Scholarship awarded
Senior Megan Wall was the recipient of the 1999 Cedar Park Christian School's Faculty Scholarship Award.
