The 10th annual Fall City Days 5K/10K Fun Run and 5K Walk last Saturday attracted a record number of entrants, according to Fall City Days organizer Lee Alexander.
A total of 780 runners and walkers took on the scenic course around the Snoqualmie Valley. The previous record was 635 entrants, he said, adding that the cool, cloudy weather was ideal for the event.
By morning's end, the clouds had given way to warm sunshine, so visitors could enjoy the afternoon's activities and entertainment.
Alexander and his wife Jennifer, who have been Fall City Days top organizers for 10 years, will retire after Saturday's event. "It's been fun and satisfying," Alexander said. "But it's time to do other things. We are willing to talk to anyone who might want to do it."
