Most horse owners are responsible

I am responding to the letter complaining about horse owners. Please do not judge all horse owners by a few of your neighbors.

Most of us ride our horses regularly whether it's trail riding, showing, eventing, etc. Some horses are not ridden regularly because their teenage owners have grown up and moved on, and their parents are giving their horses a home for the rest of their lives.

Most of us either clean up our horse's stable areas or board them where the cleanup is done on a daily basis. Many of us give our horse manure away to gardeners who come amazing distances to get this wonderful fertilizer.

You can't use dog or cat manure in your garden.
