Lions Club presents check to principal

check presented

   Northshore Principal Carole Bartolini received a check for $1,000 from Dave Cruse, Woodinville Lions Club secretary. The money will provide scholarships for students to attend summer school.

'Sew Much Fun'

   Lake Washington Technical College will be holding a one week co-ed sewing class July 12-16th. "Sew Much Fun" gives young people an opportunity to acquire the basics of clothes making from sewing experts. The class is open to young people entering seventh and eighth grades in the fall. The daily sessions are from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost is $139, which includes a field trip and tee-shirt. Call 739-8112.

Teaching parents plan July meeting

   Teaching Parents Association, a homeschooling support group, will meet on July 13 at 7 p.m. at the Woodinville Public Library. TPA member Julie Bruck will speak on "Traveling Across Europe with Children." For more information, call 425-739-8562.
