Kid's Gym is open for infants-preschool. Classes are developmentally suited for a variety of ages and help children increase their mobility, strength, and awareness. Classes are held on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays and Saturdays at the YMCA.
Gymnastics is geared to youth, ages 5-12, at a beginning and intermediate level. Classes are held on Saturday mornings, from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Tae Kwon Do has both youth and adult classes that focus on self-esteem and self-confidence. Youth, ages 7-9 participate on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 4-5:30 p.m., and the adult classes are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights from 7-8:30 p.m.
Women's Self Defense classes are held on Saturday afternoons, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and are geared for females, ages 12 through adults.
Everyone is welcome to participate in YMCA programs; financial assitance to the extent possible is available for those in need, thanks to the YMCA Partners With Youth fund. For information, call Scott Gillespie at 425-485-9797, or drop by the Northshore YMCA.
