New community development director for Kenmore

Bob Sokol has been offered and has accepted the position of community development director for the City of Kenmore, effective Monday, July 26.

Sokol is presently the principal planner for the City of Auburn, where he has worked for the past five and one-half years. Prior to working for Auburn, Sokol was employed for two and one-half years by the City of Vancouver, Washington, as associate planner.

He successfully participated in a selection process the City of Kenmore conducted following the resignation of its current community development director, Gregg Dohrn, who has joined the Seattle office of Butcher Willis Ratcliff, a consulting firm based in Kansas City, Missouri.
