Noblet elected new mayor

   BOTHELL--At the July 6 City Council meeting, Bothell's seven-member Council unanimously elected Mayor Pro-tem Mike Noblet to fulfill former Mayor Debbie Treen's term as Mayor of Bothell, effective through Dec. 31, 1999.

   John Curtin was unanimously chosen Mayor Pro-tem to complete former Deputy Mayor Wendy Brady's term, which will end at the end of 1999 when a new councilmember is elected to Council Position Number Six.

   Noblet, in his second term on the Council, has served since January 1994. He has served on several local and regional committees, including the City Council's Human Services Committee, Public Safety Committee, Parks & Recreation Board Subcommittee, and the Cascade Water Alliance Committee. His new mayoral duties will include committee membership with Snohomish County Cities and Towns, East King County Cities Mayors, and Snohomish County Mayors. Noblet is self-employed. His company provides healthcare solutions to the healthcare industry.

   Curtin previously served on Bothell's City Council, including two terms as mayor. He has served on Bothell's Planning Commission and several local and regional committees. Curtin is a program manager for Seattle Public Utilities, where he has worked for nine years.
