Bothell Rec offers music, movies, baseball

   Music in the Park wraps up this summer's concert series with swing music provided by Portage Bay Big Band. This is a free concert held at The Park at Bothell Landing (9919 NE 180th) on Friday, Aug. 13, at 6:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair (if you can sit still) and enjoy this fun, family event.

   Movies in the Park returns to The Park at Bothell Landing (9919 NE 180th) on Friday, Aug. 20th. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to recline upon and enjoy the film A Bug's Life. Movie begins at approximately 9 p.m. This is a free event.

   It's Bothell Night at the Aqua Sox on Friday, Aug. 27th, when the Sox play the Yakima Bears (a farm team for the Dodgers). This is great minor league ball and a whole lot of fun for the whole family. Tickets are $7/adult and $5/children under 12. Reserve your seats early.

   Mall Madness for teens in junior and senior high school. Teens will head off to Bellevue Square to learn make-up and fashion tips. Take this opportunity to check out the latest fashions for school. Meet at Bothell City Hall (18305 - 101st Ave. NE) on Wednesday, August 18th, at 10 a.m. Transportation will be provided to Bell Square and return to City Hall at 4:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $5/teen.

   CPR class will be held on Wed., Aug. 18th, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Bothell's downtown firehouse (10726 Beardslee Blvd.). This course teaches American Heart Association curriculum, and a written test will be given at the end of the program. A two-year certification card will be issued upon completion. Cost is $5/person, Pre-registration is required.
