Sandy Koufax Baseball Team forming

   Mortgage Mart and Unique Environments announce the formation of a Sandy Koufax Baseball Team in the Snoqualmie Valley for players from Monroe to North Bend. The team will be managed by Matt Sanelli.

   Those aged 13 for the year 2000 baseball season should provide their name, address, telephone number, birthdate and positions played to or fax to 425-333-5059. Tryouts will be in September 1999.

Outdoor sculpture exhibition

   "From the Ground Up," an outdoor sculpture exhibition, will run through Oct. 1 in the Snoqualmie Valley. For site access and directions, call 206-989-5518. The exhibition is organized by Brian Wallace, curator, Bellevue Art Museum and Deborah Paine, Art Collection Administrator, Microsoft Corporation.

Art in the Park in Monroe

   The 11th annual Art in the Park will be held Saturday, Aug. 21 from 10-7 & Sunday, Aug. 22 from 10-5 at Traveler's Park, corner of Highway 2 and Main Street (east end of town). Admission is free. There will be arts, crafts, gifts, food, entertaiment and a children's table. Sponsored by the Sky Valley Artist Guild. For information, call Joan Giese at 360-794-0364.

Classes at Valley General Hospital in Monroe

   A Sibling Preparation class will be held on Saturday, Aug. 28 from 9:30-11 a.m. Fee is $5 per family. Learn how to prepare yourself and older siblings for a new baby's arrival. An 8-week Childbirth Preparation class will be held Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:30 p.m. from Aug. 25-Oct. 13. Fee is $70. To register for these classes, call 360-794-1411.
