YMCA indoor soccer in Duvall

   Registration for the 1999 Youth Indoor Soccer season is now being accepted at the Northshore YMCA. Leagues are open to boys and girls between the ages of 3 and grade 5. In YMCA Youth Sports programs, "winners" are defined as players who feel good about themselves, set personal goals and achieve them, help others succeed, give their best effort, learn new skills, and have fun. Parents are encouraged to participate as coaches, officials, committee members, and in other capacities, in addition to lending support to their child. Karaoke Night

   A Karaoke Night will be held Friday, Aug. 27, from 7-9 p.m. at Main Street Music in Duvall (above Coast to Coast). Posters and CDs will be given away to the brave ones who try Karaoke. Call 844-2988 for information.

"Isaac" at Pumps & Grinds

   By popular request, Pumps & Grinds Consignment & Coffee (formerly Sassy Sisters) will host an encore performance of singer/songwriter "Isaac," at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28. Pumps & Grinds is located in Duvall next to Seafirst Bank. For more information, call 425-844-2766.

10 Fold at Main Street Music

   10 Fold (Zack Stokes, Anson Gessel, Ryan Mathews, and Jessie Brasch) will perform on the Main Street Music stage on Saturday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. The band has just cut a demo CD that they will be selling during the performance. All their songs are written by the band members. Main Street Music is located above the Coast to Coast store in Duvall. For more information, log onto www.mainstreetmusic.com.

Senior rights assistance

   A volunteer will be on hand at the Carnation Sno-Valley Senior Center on Aug. 27, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., to help seniors with legal, consumer, and health insurance issues. See the reception desk to schedule an appointment.

ECEAP accepting enrollments

   Riverview ECEAP in Duvall is accepting applications for fall enrollment. The program serves income eligible families with preschool age children (4 years old by August 31). The Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program is a state funded comprehensive preschool and family support program. Program features include free preschool for four-year-olds, parent programs, health, and social services. Children enjoy breakfast and lunch at preschool and transportation is provided in most areas. Classes meet Monday through Thursday from 9:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m. If interested, contact Riverview ECEAP at 425-788-4756.

Classes at Valley General Hospital in Monroe

   A Sibling Preparation class will be held on Saturday, Aug. 28, from 9:30-11 a.m. Fee is $5 per family. An 8-week Childbirth Preparation class will be held Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:30 p.m. from Aug. 25-Oct. 13. Fee is $70.
