   Aug. 6: At about 2 p.m., officers assisted King County Animal Control officers with a daring rescue of a dog stuck in the river. Officers launched the patrol boat and were able to rescue the dog.

   Aug. 10: In the late afternoon, police investigated a vandalism complaint in the Crestview neighborhood. During the night, an unknown suspect pushed some large rocks from a resident's garden into the roadway.

   Aug. 13: An intoxicated "prowler" was located and taken home to Monroe.

   Aug. 14: A resident reported that an expensive stereo system had been stolen out of his vehicle.

   Aug. 16: At about 11:46 a.m., police were dispatched to a disturbance in progress on NE Ring St. Officers arrived to the sound of glass breaking. They entered the house and were able to determine that a crime falling under the Domestic Violence Protection Act had occurred. Officers placed the male resident into custody and transported him to the station for processing. He was later booked into the King County Jail for Malicious Mischief DV.

   Aug. 17: At about 9:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to a verbal domestic in the Legacy Ridge neighborhood. Officers arrived and determined that an assault had not occurred. Some counseling was provided and resource information was offered.
