Fair days ahead

   The 1999 Evergreen State Fair will run through Labor Day, Monday, September 6.

   Fair hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (open until 11 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday, Sept. 5). On Monday, Labor Day, Sept. 6, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., barns close at 4 p.m. and the carnival closes at 6 p.m.

   The Evergreen State Fairgrounds are located one mile west of Monroe, 14 miles east of Everett on U.S. Highway 2, approximately 30 miles northeast of Seattle via I-405 and State Route 522.

   Regular daily admission at the gate is $7.00 for adults (16-61 years), $5.00 for Senior Citizens (62-plus years), $4.00 for Youth (6-15 years, and children (5 and under) are Free. Parking for the event is $3.00.

   Friday, Sept. 3, is Armed Forces Day. The Fair will offer half-price gate admission all day for persons with proper military identification. Monday, Sept. 6, is Last Chance Day with half-price admission. Kids 5 years old or younger get free admission to the Fair every day.

   The P.W.R.A. Rodeo will be held Sept. 3-6.
