Little Bit hosts annual Ride-A-Thon

   The Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center's 22nd annual Ride-A-Thon will be held Saturday, Sept. 11, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Little Bit Stable in Woodinville, where the Tolt Pipeline provides access to wooded trails in the Redmond Watershed. Participants can also walk or ride bikes. A complimentary hoe-down barbecue will be held the afternoon of the event; ample parking for horse trailers is available. Prizes have been donated by area businesses to reward riders raising the most money. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit this non-profit program that provides therapeutic horseback riding. For information, registration, and pledge forms, call 425-882-1554.

YMCA forms tribes and ranches

   Parent-child "tribes" and "ranches" are now forming at the Northshore YMCA. In addition to offering the traditional father-son and father-daughter Y-Guides and Y-Princess programs for children in kindergarten through third grade, the Northshore "Y" is for the first time forming mother-daughter and mother-son "tribes" of Maidens and Braves in this K-3rd grade age group. Chamber auction to be held Oct. 9

   The Woodinville Chamber has announced their 1999 auction will be held at Bear Creek Country Club on Saturday, Oct. 9, from 6-10 p.m. The beneficiaries for this year's event are the Hooterville Pet and Safehaus and the Children's Country Home. The Chamber is seeking donations to be auctioned off. Donations may be tax-deductible. If you have something you would like to donate, or for tickets, call the Chamber at 425-481-8300.
