Wastemobile set to visit Woodinville Park & Ride

The King County Solid Waste Division's traveling Household Hazardous Wastemobile will visit Woodinville on Sept. 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, and 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Wastemobile will be at the Woodinville Park & Ride, located on the corner of 140th Ave. NE and NE 179th St.

King County residents are invited to drop off their cans of used paint, paint thinners, pesticides, automotive products, and car batteries at the Wastemobile at no charge. Materials can be disposed of only when the Wastemobile is open for business.

Proper disposal of these wastes is necessary to reduce environmental pollution. Materials such as mothballs, some flea remedies, nail polish remover, chlorine bleach, and oven and drain cleaners are also hazardous waste, and residents are encouraged to bring them to the Wastemobile, rather than putting them in the garbage.

For more information about the County Household Hazardous Wastemobile, citizens can call the Hazardous Line at (206) 296-4692.
