Voting is a privilege, but issues are too complicated
I did not vote last Tuesday. A year ago July 4th, the [Carnation] City Council, with the O.K. of the mayor, decided not to let the community vote on which entity will run the police department. Because it was so complicated, the council would make the decision.
I received a flyer Sept. 1 regarding the Police Levy. I consider it too complicated. I hope the issues in the November election will not be complicated.
After voting for 63 of my 84 years, I consider it a duty and a real privilege that we enjoy in this country.
