Arboretum to hold fall bulb and plant sale

Spring-blooming bulbs will take center stage at The Arboretum Foundation's 30th annual Fall Bulb & Plant Sale, Sunday, Oct. 3, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., at the Graham Visitors Center, 2300 Arboretum Drive East. Admission is free. Sale proceeds benefit the Washington Park Arboretum.

The sale features a wide variety of unique and popular bulbs, with a dramatic range of colors, shapes and blooming times. Other plants ideal for fall planting also will be available, including plants propagated in the Arboretum's Pat Calvert Greenhouse and those grown by Foundation volunteers and donated for sale. You'll find native grasses, small trees, shrubs, vines, ground covers, and many rare and hard-to-find plants from Puget Sound area specialty growers.

Volunteer bulb and plant experts will be on hand to answer questions and assist in bulb selection and garden planning. For more information, call 206-726-1954.
