Fundraising reception to raise awareness of the arts

   The Duvall Foundation for the Arts will be holding a gala fundraising reception on Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. to celebrate the Seattle Symphony's opening of the 1999-2000 Arts Onstage season.

   The reception, which will be hosted by Valley Community Bank, will raise financial support and awareness of the arts. Patrons will enjoy wine, hors d'oeuvres, a jazz combo, and reserved seat tickets to the concert.

   Honored guests will include Seattle Symphony Associate Conductor Adam Stern, King County Council Chair Louise Miller and Duvall Mayor Glen Kuntz.

   The Symphony concert will begin at 8 p.m. at the Cedarcrest Performing Arts Center. The concert is being presented by the King County Arts Commission Office of Cultural Resources, the Duvall Arts Commission, and the Duvall Foundation for the Arts. For ticket information, please call 425-844-8516.
