PACE enrollment begins

Parents active in Cooperative Education (PACE) is a program offered through the Northshore School District for grades K-6, which emphasizes parent involvement and innovative educational methods. On a space-available basis, it is open to all children whose parents commit to provide a minimum of 80 hours a year (per family) of program assistance.

Every neighborhood school "feeds" into one of these programs. Woodmoor services Sunrise, Hollywood Hill, Woodmoore, and Moorlands students. Lockwood services Arrowhead, Frank Love, Crystal Springs, Kenmore, Westhill, Shelton View, and Lockwood students. Kokanee services Woodin, Maywood Hills, Fernwood, Canyon Creek, and Kokanee students. Wellington services Bear Creek, Eastridge, Cottage Lake, and Wellington Students.

Enrollment begins for the 2000-2001 school year on Monday, October 4, at 9 a.m. At that time, you may call to sign up for a tour of the program. A tour must be completed to be put on the waiting list.

Call the PACE program enrollment coordinator in your area. Contact Roslyn Graham at 485-1724 for the Wellington program; Macy Ratliff at 486-0906 for Lockwood; LeeAnne Foane at 489-8245 for Kokanee; and Cheryl Albertson at 821-5301 for Woodmoor. Tours are scheduled on a first-come first-serve basis.
