Great American authors of the 20th century highlighted in lecture series

W.E.B. DuBois, William Faulkner and Jack Kerouac are but a few of the authors whose work impacted American culture this century.

The University of Washington Alumni Association and the College of Arts & Sciences present a four-part lecture series on 20th century American authors who changed the way we live and think. Professors from the UW English department will discuss works of the past 100 years and reflect on their impact.

Lectures will be presented Wednesday evenings, Oct. 6-27, 1999, from 7-9 p.m. in Kane Hall, room 210, on the UW campus. Series tickets are available: $25 for UW Alumni Association members, $30 for non-members, and $15 for students. For reservations, call the UWAA at 1-800-AUW-ALUM or (206) 543-3839.
