Free film series for kids

   To provide young moviegoers with a fun, free kids' activity this season, several area Loews Cineplex Entertainment Theatres will present a four-week Free Kids' Film Series starting Friday, October 8th, and running through Thursday, November 4th. Admission to the series is free for children 12 and under and $1 for adults.

   The films scheduled for the Free Kids' Film Series are: Muppets in Space (G), Oct. 8-14; Baby Geniuses (PG), Oct. 15-21; Rugrats: The Movie (G), Oct. 22-28; and Antz (PG), Oct. 29-Nov. 4.

   The Kids' Film Series will be held at these participating theatres: Redmond Town Center, Redmond, (425) 869-1800; Factoria Cinemas, Bellevue, (425) 641-9206; Grand Cinemas, Lynnwood, (425) 774-3536. Show times for most of the theatres will be scheduled for after school and weekend matinees during the series and may vary at each theatre. Area resident in new musical

   Esther Hankerson of Woodinville is playing in the new production of Horses in the Attic: A Class Reunion at the Kirkland Performance Center on Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. Discussion will follow the show. For information or reservations, call (425) 803-0811.

Clean and Sober Dance & Auction

   The Clean and Sober Dance & Auction, a fundraiser for Residence XII's new home, will be held Oct. 16 from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person and include snacks, coffee, and tea. Advance tickets are available by calling 823-8844, and tickets will be available at the door. Auction donations will be accepted until Oct. 15.
