Auditions for 'The Best Christmas Pageant Ever' announced

   Auditions for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever will be held Saturday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Leota Junior High Theater (19301 168th Ave. NE, Woodinville). Call (425) 481-8502 for an appointment or information.

Town meeting

   A Bothell town meeting is planned for Monday, Oct. 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Woodin Elementary School gymnasium, 12950 NE 195th St. Citizens will be able to express their concerns and ask questions of the City Council and staff members. For information, call 486-3256.

Rummage sale

   A rummage and bake sale to benefit Children's Hospital will be held Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Vincent Club House on West Snoqualmie Rd. in Duvall. Call 788-1333.

Teen trivia contest at library

   The Woodinville Library will host BrainStorm, a Northshore teen trivia contest, Friday, Oct. 22, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Ten teams representing Northshore School District junior highs, Chrysalis School, and homeschoolers will compete for this year's trophy. Everyone is invited to cheer on their favorite team. The program is part of King County Library's celebration of Teen Read Week. Refreshments will be served; the program is suitable for all ages.

Y2K forum

   King County will present a Y2K public forum on Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Shoreline Community College dining room. Panelists will provide updates on preparation and answer questions. Call (206) 296-3830.

Free genealogical research class for beginners set
