Riverview Educational Foundation needs support

The Riverview Educational Foundation (REF) is looking for community support. This foundation was established in 1991 as an independent, volunteer, non-profit organization that distributes grants and awards for innovative learning projects in the Riverview Schools.

Last year, grants provided reading, music, and dance programs in the elementary schools, color guard flags and music enhancement at Cedarcrest, and science projects at Tolt and PARADE.

The ability to give this support to the schools comes from individual donations and fundraising events. Individual donations may be made directly to the Riverview Education Foundation or through United Way. Those who give through United Way should designate the Riverview Educational Foundation as the choice of agency.

Contributions may be sent directly to REF at P.O. Box 62; Carnation, WA 98014. Information is online on Riverview's website at, under the information section, or call Sharon Gauthier at 788-6610.
