Wastemobile to visit Redmond

   The King County Solid Waste Division's traveling Household Hazardous Wastemobile will visit Redmond for a two-week period beginning Oct. 29th.

   The Wastemobile will be at the Bear Creek Park & Ride, located at 7760 178th Pl. NE. The Park & Ride is close to the intersection of NE Union Hill Road and 178th Pl. NE. The Wastemobile operates Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and will be in Redmond on Oct. 29, 30, 31, 10am to 5pm, and Nov. 5, 6, 7, 10am to 5pm.

   As much as 25 percent of America's hazardous waste comes from private homes. It's estimated that each family in the U.S. produces about 15 pounds of hazardous waste a year. King County residents are invited to drop off their cans of used paint, paint thinners, pesticides, automotive products, and car batteries at the Wastemobile at no charge. Materials can be disposed of only when the Wastemobile is open for business.
